<p class="text-muted mb-3">About the Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Cooper Lomaz are working on behalf of our client, a well-established and successful organisation, who are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join their transport operation based in Newmarket.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a permanent, full-time position involving the operation of a company Class 1 vehicle on multi-drop delivery routes. The successful candidate will also assist with the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle where required, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard of customer service.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The role operates Monday to Friday - Days.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Overtime available and paid at time and a half.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key Responsibilities</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Drive a Class 1 vehicle in accordance with all relevant road traffic, tachograph and transport legislation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete daily vehicle checks prior to departure, ensuring the vehicle and load are safe and secure.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Follow the daily delivery plan and maintain communication with the office regarding any delays or issues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete multi-drop deliveries safely, efficiently and professionally.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Provide a high standard of customer service, remaining courteous and professional at all delivery locations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure the correct materials are delivered efficiently and in good condition.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials at customer premises where required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure loads remain secure throughout transportation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Report accidents, delivery issues, damaged products and vehicle defects to the Transport Department.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Comply with all company policies, procedures and driver handbook</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Follow the company's Quality Management Systems to help maintain high standards and minimise non-conformances.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Follow environmental policies and procedures, supporting the company's objectives around waste management and reducing environmental impact.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience Required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience working as a Class 1 Driver.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience with multi-drop delivery routes is beneficial.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience transporting large or heavy goods is beneficial.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience securing loads, including the use of straps, is beneficial.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Forklift or CombiLift experience would be advantageous.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good understanding of road safety, load security and tachograph</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Clean and responsible approach to vehicle operation and road safety.</p>
