Safety and Compliance Manager

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Job Description:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are recruiting for an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to join a large and fast-paced 3PL logistics business.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a key role covering both warehouse and transport operations, ensuring the business operates safely, legally, and in line with industry standards and best practice.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust safety, compliance, and operational procedures across the site. They will play a hands-on role in driving a positive safety culture, supporting operational teams, improving driver standards, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and accreditation requirements.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience with BRC, FORS, and ADR would be highly advantageous.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key Responsibilities</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage safety and compliance across both warehouse and transport operations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and safe systems of work.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure the business remains compliant with relevant health & safety, transport, and logistics legislation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support and maintain compliance with industry standards and accreditations, including BRC, FORS, and ADR, where applicable.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across warehouse and transport functions.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain and monitor accident books, incident records, near-miss reporting, and investigation documentation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Lead accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Work closely with warehouse, transport, and senior management teams to improve safety standards and operational compliance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support driver compliance, including driver behaviour, incident reviews, improvement plans, and corrective coaching.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with or deliver driver training where required</p>
