SEND Learning Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work on a supply basis within a welcoming and supportive secondary SEN school in Spennymoor.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) across different classes within the school.

You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

Role Details

Location: Spennymoor

Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Type: Full-Time, Supply

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Daily Rate: £95 – £105 per day (depending on experience)

The Role

Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.

Working across different classes and age groups within the school.

Providing both 1:1 and small-group support.

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children or young people with SEN.

Be patient, adaptable, and resilient.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

Be passionate about making a positive difference in young people's lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
