Senior Principal Urban Drainage Modeller

In this senior role you provide strategic and technical leadership across urban drainage and wastewater programmes, guiding complex studies and client relationships. You’ll shape the growth of Stantec’s Urban Drainage Modelling capability while delivering robust, innovative hydraulic solutions. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to drive digital approaches and governance across major UK water projects. • Provide senior technical leadership across complex urban drainage and wastewater modelling programmes
• Lead and assure studies covering wastewater networks, storm overflows, flooding, water quality, pollution management and resilience
• Apply expert knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and hydraulic modelling to develop robust solutions
• Provide technical governance and assurance of modelling approaches and deliverables
• Advise clients at senior levels, influencing investment and strategic decisions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop digital tools and improved modelling approaches
• Lead project and programme delivery including planning, resourcing, and cost estimates
• Support bids, frameworks and business development to grow the modelling portfolio
• Mentor and develop modelling teams to foster technical leadership

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; professional engineer status (CEng/IEng) or actively working towards
• Significant experience leading complex urban drainage, wastewater or hydraulic modelling projects
• Expert knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and hydraulic modelling of wastewater networks
• Proven track record in technical leadership, governance and assurance across multidisciplinary projects
• Strong experience in leading, mentoring and developing technical teams
• Excellent client and stakeholder management with ability to influence senior decisions
• Experience contributing to project/programme management, commercial delivery, bids and business development
