A thriving and welcoming secondary school in Thurrock is seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands‑on Site Manager & Minibus Driver to join their dedicated team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced site professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and well‑presented learning environment while also supporting the school's transport needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day management, maintenance, and security of the school site.
• Carry out routine repairs, maintenance, and health & safety checks.
• Manage contractors and oversee site‑related projects where required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
• Open and close the school premises as required.
• Monitor and maintain school facilities, grounds, and equipment.
• Drive the school minibus for educational visits, sporting fixtures, and other school activities.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure the minibus is maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard.
• Support the wider school team with general operational requirements.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities, or Estates role.
• A practical approach with strong maintenance and DIY skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and site compliance requirements.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
• A full, clean UK driving licence.
• Experience driving a minibus or willingness to complete relevant training.
• A flexible and positive attitude with a commitment to supporting the school community.
