Here’s how you will contribute…Support and manage the team of Inspectors, carrying out clegg, visual and core audits across Scotland Become Scotland’s subject matter expert (SME) for reinstatement materials and techniques, ensuring that best practices are rolled out across the business Ensure compliance with all New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA 91) legislation and Road Works codes of practice Ensure both direct and contract labour are delivering business expectations safely Collect visual and technical performance data Produce, deliver and maintain Road Works performance reports What you will needA thorough understanding of Road Works standards and specifications; NRSWA (91), SROR, and Codes of Practice Appropriate Road Works and civils experience - a supervisor NRSWA (91) qualification is essential, or the ability to work towards this qualification Problem solving and influencing skills – encouraging colleagues to challenge established ways of working Promotion of new reinstatement techniques, materials, and existing good practice across Scotland Ability to network internally with SGN Departments and externally with Local Authorities, contractors, other Utilities and the office of the Scottish Road Works Commissioner This position involves regular travel; therefore, a full valid driving license is essential.Not sure you meet every requirement?Research shows some people – particularly women and those from underrepresented backgrounds – may hesitate to apply unless they meet every criteria.
