<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Transport Controller / Planner is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and management of UK road freight collections and deliveries, ensuring customer</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">requirements are consistently met while optimising operational efficiency. The role demands excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, strong communication with customers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced transport environment.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will ensure all transport activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, customer service standards, and regulatory compliance</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 8:00pm (37.5hr per week) No weekend or Bank Holidays, would also consider 11am to 7pm</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Duties of a Transport Controller / Planner:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Planning and scheduling UK collections and deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaising with drivers to ensure service commitments are met</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Building strong relationships with transport partners</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor the progress of vehicles, collections and deliveries throughout the day</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">React quickly to delays, breakdowns, traffic issues and customer changes by re-planning work where necessary.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Prioritise urgent and time-critical shipments to maintain service levels</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure efficient utilisation of vehicles, hauliers and transport resources.Experience required for a Transport Controller / Planner:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience within UK road freight or transport planning.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong understanding of UK transport operations and logistics.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent communication and customer service skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">High level of organisational and administrative skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good geographical knowledge of the UK.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS) or other logistics software.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong attention to detail.</p>
