<p class="text-muted mb-3">About the Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to join a busy, fast-paced transport operation based in Ringwood.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will have a strong background in transport management and be confident overseeing day-to-day operations in a demanding environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient movement of vehicles and goods, while leading a team and maintaining high operational standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities and has a strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring an efficient and reliable service.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Lead, motivate and manage drivers and transport staff.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Plan and coordinate vehicle and driver schedules to maximise efficiency.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure full compliance with all relevant transport legislation and company policies.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain high standards of vehicle, driver and operational compliance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor transport performance, costs and key performance indicators.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage driver hours, working time and tachograph compliance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to resolve operational issues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections and repairs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Investigate and manage incidents, accidents and operational issues where required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels and operating costs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all relevant records, documentation and systems are accurately maintained.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support the development and implementation of transport policies and procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Provide strong leadership during periods of high operational demand.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will have:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A valid Transport Manager CPC - essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Proven experience managing a busy, fast-paced transport operation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation, compliance and driver regulations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience managing and leading a team of drivers and/or transport staff.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good IT and transport management systems experience.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A proactive approach to improving operational performance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The flexibility and resilience required to work in a demanding transport environment.</p>
