Legal Project Manager

In this role you drive and shape the evolving field of Legal Project Management within a market-leading team. You’ll embed with priority client relationships and Global Product Groups to deliver high-end, complex legal advice efficiently. You manage timelines, budgets, resourcing, and leverage innovative tools to support large-scale matters. • Prepare project initiation documentation including scope, resourcing and budget proposals and track progress
• Dissect problems and apply analytical approaches to solutions
• Influence diverse colleagues to adapt ways of working
• Explain concepts to senior stakeholders and adapt delivery style
• Manage planning across short, medium and long term with documentation of minutes and actions
• Identify issues, propose pragmatic solutions to keep programmes moving
• Assess risks and provide alternative mitigation options
• Monitor accruals and manage projects against budgets and scope changes
• Advise on and engage with legal technology tools to support project delivery
• Define technology requirements and set up tools to improve delivery
• Delegate tasks appropriately to Legal Project Analyst team
• Incorporate feedback and adjust plans accordingly
• Deliver presentations, facilitate workshops, and participate in client pitches
• Work with Clients and, where needed, on client site, representing Clifford Chance

• Background in project management or legal operations in a professional services or matrix environment, or experience as a lawyer with matter management
• Qualification or industry-recognised certification in project management is desirable but not essential
