This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive commercial professional to play a pivotal role bridging sales support and key B2B account coordination. Working alongside an established internal colleague and supporting a regional field sales team, you will enjoy a multifaceted role encompassing lead generation, account management, order tracking, and brand marketing support.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as a Business Development Executive will include:

• Nurturing and managing relationships with key and premier business accounts to build long-term commercial loyalty.
• Serving as a trusted first point of contact for customer enquiries, resolving challenges promptly or escalating where appropriate.
• Managing the day-to-day inbound pipeline by identifying and tracking leads from contractor portals and inbound channels.
• Conducting targeted outbound calls within allocated regional territories to uncover new business opportunities.
• Qualifying high-potential leads and collaborating closely with remote Business Development Managers to align field actions.
• Assisting with sales order processing to smoothly advance orders from initial enquiry through to delivery.
• Supporting international export tracking to ensure cross-border shipping details and data are accurately captured.
• Providing administrative assistance for formal tender preparations and omnichannel communications via phone, email, and live chat.
• Maintaining accurate records within the centralised database while assisting with digital marketing updates and corporate events.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Business Development Executive will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

• Proven background in B2B account management, customer service, sales administration, or lead generation.
• Prior experience working within a supplier, distributor, or merchant environment is highly advantageous.
• Practical working knowledge of CRM and ERP databases, ideally Sage platforms such as Sage 200 or Sage CRM.
• Proficiency across standard Microsoft Office applications, with confident abilities in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• High level of commercial acumen, strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Excellent organisational abilities with acute attention to detail when managing database records and order pipelines.
• A full, valid UK driving licence to accommodate occasional customer site visits.
