Warehouse Manager

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Travis Talent is recruiting a Warehouse Manager on behalf of an established manufacturing client in Rotherham.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the safe, organised and efficient running of a busy warehouse operation supporting production, fabrication and project delivery.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will lead the warehouse team, manage stock and goods movements, coordinate order fulfilment and despatch, and work closely with purchasing, design, operations and site-based teams. The successful candidate will combine strong people management with practical warehouse knowledge and a clear focus on safety, accuracy and continuous improvement.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management, organisation and security of the warehouse.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Lead and support office-based, warehouse and field-based employees, allocating workloads and resources to meet departmental priorities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews and manage attendance, timekeeping, holidays, overtime, expenses and timesheets.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Handle employee relations matters professionally, including absence management, disciplinary processes, grievances and conflict resolution.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development, creating a positive and productive working environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Oversee vehicle unloading, goods receipt, material booking, storage, picking, labelling, fabrication support and despatch.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Plan and monitor production and assembly activity, ensuring materials are processed and moved to the appropriate work areas.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Receive supplier deliveries, inspect for discrepancies and book goods accurately into the AX system.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Ensure project-specific materials are clearly identified, correctly allocated and stored in designated locations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Manage stock control and coordinate twice-yearly stock checks.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Liaise with purchasing to ensure materials are available in line with production and project deadlines.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Coordinate with design, installers and site managers regarding drawings, delivery schedules and site</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Leadership and Operational Improvement</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Hold regular team meetings and weekly briefings to review upcoming projects, allocate work and address safety or operational issues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Maintain regular communication with maintenance technicians, providing guidance and helping to resolve issues arising during works.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Work closely with the Operations Director, raising operational risks promptly and supporting change and continuous improvement initiatives.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Remain flexible during peak workloads and provide reasonable overtime support where required.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">About You</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Proven management experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, production or similarly practical operational environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, ideally including experience relevant to construction or project-led manufacturing.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Confident managing people, performance, workloads and competing operational priorities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Able to work under pressure, self-manage effectively and maintain high standards of accuracy and organisation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• A practical, flexible approach with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments and site teams.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Basic computer skills and experience using stock or business systems.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• A valid forklift licence and driving licence.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Relevant warehouse, production or practical qualifications would be advantageous.</p>
