Job Description

Siamo Recruitment is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to work on behalf of our client, a large manufacturer and international importer based in Coventry, CV3.

Our client specialises in a wide range of products, including melamine dinnerware, flatware, drinkware, cookware, tabletop products, kitchenware, storage solutions and much more, supplying both the foodservice and homeware markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a busy warehouse team, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, unload and process incoming deliveries and shipments.

Check and inspect goods to ensure quality and accuracy against delivery documentation.

Sort, label and store products in the correct warehouse locations.

Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.

Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.

Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts where authorised and appropriately trained.

Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stock checks and inventory counts.

Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised.

Assist with assembling, building and disassembling products where required.

Identify and report damaged goods, stock discrepancies or equipment issues.

Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily targets and deadlines.

Skills and

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is preferred.

Experience in goods-in, goods-out, picking, packing or stock control would be advantageous.

Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to work.

Ability to carry out manual handling duties, including lifting and moving stock.

Comfortable with prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and reaching.

Forklift experience and a valid licence are advantageous but not essential, depending on operational

requirements.

Familiarity with warehouse management or stock control systems would be beneficial.

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits

£13.00 per hour

Monday to Friday working pattern.

Day shifts with consistent working hours.

Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
