Warehouse Operative

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES / PICKERS - Daventry

My client are a national retailer, who pride themselves on offering their customers great value, quality products from clean and tidy shops with the friendliest team in retail.

Their warehouse operatives are the backbone of o their distribution operation and are essential to ensuring their shops have everything they need to deliver a great service to their customers.

Shift patterns include

• Late shift - From 14:00 to 22:00
• Night shift - From 22:00 to 06:00

As warehouse operatives you will:

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets ready for delivery to shops.
• Keep accurate records.
• Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.
• Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.

You will need:

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).
• To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or experience working with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling is highly preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts and mechanical equipment safely; certification is a plus
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and order processing
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload items repeatedly throughout shifts
• Strong attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality control procedures
• Mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow safety guidelines diligently
