About the role

Prime Recruitment Services is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse / Transport Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established business within the animal feed industry, known for supplying quality products to a large customer base.

Based at a modern mill in the countryside near Slemish,

this is an excellent opportunity for a practical, customer-focused individual to join a busy operation and play an important role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse and transport functions.

Key responsibilities

Maintain the warehouse and yard areas in a clean, tidy and organised condition, assisting maintenance staff when required.

Provide excellent customer service, including loading pallets and tote bags for customers.

Operate a semi-automated bagging line and fill tote bags safely and efficiently.

Load and unload curtain-sided vehicles using a counterbalance forklift.

Load bulk vehicles in line with operational

requirements.

Clean bulk vehicles and trailers to maintain appropriate standards.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures and contribute to an efficient, well-organised working environment.

Working hours

Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

Monday to Friday on a rotating three-week shift pattern:

Week 1: 06:00-15:00

Week 2: 08:00-17:00

Week 3: 10:00-19:00

Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods and holiday cover.

Essential

requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Previous manual handling experience and training.

Experience operating a counterbalance forklift, with a current licence.

A good standard of general education, including GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent, or above).

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Strong attention to detail and a responsible approach to work.

Basic computer literacy.Desirable: Experience using computer terminal-controlled equipment.
