<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for a qualified and time served HGV Technician who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded. A skills shortage can be trained by way of upskilling. What cannot be trained however is the right attitude and the desire to give your clients a first class service. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet. </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV#s) refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers and tippers-  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to) </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Routine (and preventative) maintenance </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">MOT preparation </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">6 (or 8) weekly inspections  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Correction of running defects </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Chassis and fabrication work </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hydraulics and pneumatics </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Improvement of vehicle standards </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ideally</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Additional accreditations such as IRTEC would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or licence. </p>
