HGV Technician

The HGV Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring minimal vehicle downtime and optimal fleet performance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete thorough vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and DVSA standards</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Accurately complete job cards and service documentation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Work independently and efficiently during night shifts, Tuesday to Friday, from 6.00 pm to 6.00 am</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Requirements</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on HGVs</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Class 1 or 2 HGV licence is advantageous</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience in a main dealership environment is preferred but not essential</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to work independently and as part of a team</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid right to work in the UK</p>
