The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to join a leading third-party logistics (3PL) operation in Coventry, supporting a premium fashion and sportswear brand.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, results-driven leader with a strong background in warehouse and distribution operations.

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, leading management teams and ensuring service levels, productivity and operational standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day running of warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring efficient and effective performance.

Lead, develop and motivate supervisors, team leaders and wider operational teams.

Drive productivity, operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Monitor KPIs and service-level agreements, implementing corrective actions where required.

Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, company policies and standard operating procedures.

Manage labour planning, resource allocation and operational costs to meet business

requirements.

Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth workflows and timely order fulfilment.

Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Maintain high standards of stock accuracy, inventory control and warehouse organisation.

Build strong working relationships with the customer, ensuring expectations and service

requirements are consistently met

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in an Operations Manager or similar senior warehouse leadership role.

A strong background in logistics, warehousing or distribution, ideally within a 3PL environment.

Experience managing large teams through supervisors and team leaders.

A proven track record of achieving operational KPIs and improving productivity.

Strong knowledge of health and safety, warehouse processes and operational compliance.

Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience within fashion, apparel, retail or e-commerce logistics would be advantageous.

A hands-on approach, with the ability to make decisions and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
