Hours: 06:00 – 16:00, Monday – Friday
Pay: Up to £21.70 per hour + Overtime at time 1/2

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and supportive workshop team based in Coventry.

As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in keeping a busy commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and roadworthy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Working on engines, gearboxes and other complex vehicle systems
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs
• Completing accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
• Working closely with the wider workshop team to maintain fleet efficiency
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians where required

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance.

You will ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of HGV mechanical, electrical and diagnostic systems
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A high level of attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A full driving licence – HGV licence preferred but not essential
• Your own tools

IRTEC qualification is highly desirable , although training and support towards achieving IRTEC will be available for the right candidate.

• Up to £21.70 per hour
• Overtime paid at time and a half
