HGV Class 2 Gully Driver

About the Role:Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Gully Tanker Driver to work on behalf of one of our established clients based in the Stockport area. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced Class 2 driver to join a busy highways maintenance operation, carrying out essential drainage and gully cleaning services across the local area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a specialist gully tanker vehicle, maintaining highway drainage systems and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Operating a Class 2 gully tanker vehicle to carry out scheduled highway gully emptying and cleaning. Clearing and jetting blocked gullies and drains across highways, residential areas and commercial premises. Using specialist jetting equipment and tools to remove blockages. Operating in-cab technology to record and report completed work. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring all equipment is operated safely. Working effectively as part of a team to complete scheduled maintenance tasks. Following all relevant health and safety procedures. Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must have: A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence. A valid Driver CPC qualification. A valid Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of its correct use. Previous experience operating HGV vehicles in residential and urban areas. Knowledge of Chapter 8 traffic management requirements. A recognised Water Jetting Association qualification. Experience operating gully tankers or similar specialist drainage vehicles is highly desirable. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A reliable, professional attitude with a strong focus on health and safety. Working Hours & Pay £15.31 per hour 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 06:15 – 14:30 Requirement to work up to four weeks of night shifts when necessary. Why Work with Driver Hire Stockport?
