<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic to join a growing team at Gatwick Airport.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking to move into the specialist world of Ground Support Equipment (GSE). You must have experience in GSE, HGVs or Plant. Full training will be provided to develop your skills and enable you to work on Ground Service Equipment at Gatwick Airport.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working as a mechanic,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of ground equipment used airside, including towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators and other specialist vehicles.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Using your existing mechanical knowledge, you will diagnose faults, carry out repairs and complete preventative maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and operational.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic -Responsibilities & Duties</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Servicing, maintenance and repair of GSE equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete all paperwork to a high standard.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out vehicle mechanical and electrical PPM (Planned and Preventative Maintenance) in line with set schedules.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Provide a best-in-class service to business customers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Comply with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaise with internal customers and colleagues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with general maintenance and repair duties as required.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic -About You</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Must have experience in at least one of the following: GSE, HGV or Plant.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Mechanical experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or similar.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">GSE experience is desirable but not essential — full GSE training will be provided.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and repair.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Able to work safely and professionally in an airport environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Must have a 5-year checkable history in order to obtain an airside pass.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Able to pass a basic criminal record check.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Salary-£49,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.</p>
