QA SPECIALIST/ANALYST

Cartonplast UK Limited is a leading provider of Reusable Transit Packaging solutions. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest industry standards across our operations. As we continue to develop our systems, we are seeking an experienced, proactive QA Specialist to drive continuous improvement and independent quality management across our Doncaster and Rotherham sites.

Job Purpose & Scope:

Reporting directly to the QHSE Manager,

you will be responsible for ensuring that all processes and products meet internal and external standards. You will independently manage Quality Assurance at Cartonplast UK, providing professional guidance to staff regarding quality, safety, hygiene, and the environment. Working closely with both Production and Logistics, you will drive continuous improvement and maintain our integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and ISO 45001), whilst ensuring hygiene and product safety levels remain at the highest possible standard.

Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance & Compliance: Implement and maintain the effectiveness of our management systems across ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and ISO 45001 in the UK.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively drive the development of operational processes, challenging the management team regarding continuous improvement ideas.
• Audit & Certification Management: Independently manage internal and external audits and oversee the maintenance of all site certifications.
• Root Cause & CAPA: Handle customer complaints, coordinate root cause analysis, and implement effective CAPA measures to ensure process functionality.
• Operational Support: Work closely with the Production Manager to support day-to-day process monitoring, staff training, and finished product verification.
• Group Collaboration: Project-manage the implementation of structural changes and collaborate closely with the wider Group Quality Assurance Team based overseas.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

• Proven QA Experience: At least 3 years in a dedicated Quality Assurance position, including hands-on experience maintaining a QMS, handling certifications, and managing customer complaints.
• Qualifications & Training: Certified HACCP training and Food Safety & Quality training.
• Operational Awareness: Direct experience working within a process flow production environment.
• Core Competencies: Strong IT competency, high attention to detail, problem analysis skills, and excellent planning/workload organisation.
• Attitude & Communication: A positive "can-do" mentality with the ability to professionally communicate and challenge stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Desirable:

• Prior experience within a logistics/transport industry.
• Knowledge of food safety legislation and general industry standards.
• Basic understanding of Microbiology.
