Senior Accountant

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are working with a global organisation for a Senior Management Accountant to join a well-established, fast-paced finance department on an interim basis. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, management accounting, statutory reporting, tax, facilitating seamless vendor relationships, and contributing to the smooth operation of the finance function. Whilst also ensuring consistency and compliance with UK accounting standards and internal controls.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Responsibilities:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure supervision of accurate and timely processing of invoices, resolving any discrepancies with internal departments</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support in smooth month end close along with P&L reviews and analysis with commentary</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Management Reporting post month-end</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage the Balance Sheet Reconciliation of the relevant General Ledgers</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support the Line Manager with operational oversight by helping with reporting, KPI tracking and driving improvements across processes to increase efficiency and promote and improve cost effectiveness within the business</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Filing the VAT Returns</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Leading and supporting junior team members, delivering training and development where needed</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and audit</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Requirements</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">AAT/CIMA/ACCA Qualified or Similar</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Proven experience in a high-volume environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Considerable Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and IF formulas)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">High attention to detail and accuracy</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Self-starter with a solution-focused mindset</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Minimum of 2 x years relevant experience</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience working in the freight & logistics industry (desirable)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience with SAP & Ariba (desirable)</p>
