<p class="text-muted mb-3">About the Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">My client is currently looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their established independent workshop based in Harlow.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys fault finding, diagnostics and working on a varied range of commercial vehicles.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key Responsibilities</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Fault finding using diagnostic equipment, including TEXA and Jaltest</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">MOT preparation and rectification work</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Investigating and repairing vehicle defects</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out repairs to a high standard</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Completing service sheets and job documentation accurately</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working safely and maintaining a clean and professional workshop</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working independently and as part of a team</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and industry standards</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ideal candidate will have:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">At least 2 years' experience as an HGV Technician</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong knowledge of HGVs and commercial vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good mechanical and diagnostic skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience with servicing, inspections and repairs</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong fault-finding ability</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A professional and reliable attitude</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good attention to detail</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to work independently and as part of a team</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications are desirable</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Class 1 or Class 2 licence is beneficial but not essential</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working Hours</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The role operates on a fortnightly shift pattern:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Week 1:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Week 2:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monday – Friday, 12:00pm – 8:00pm</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Saturday, 7:00am – 12:00pm</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A £60 late-shift bonus is paid during the late-shift week.</p>
